Study investigating the association between use of mobile phones and neck pain is presented at the ENPOS 2019

A study investigating the association between the length of use of mobile phones and the prevalence of neck pain was presented at the XXI Post-graduate Encounter of the Federal University of Pelotas.

The findings of the study reveal that individuals using mobile devices between three and seven hours have 36% increased prevalence of neck pain compared to those with less than one hour of use. Those using mobile devices for seven or more hours have 76% increase prevalence.

The study, led by Cauane Blumenberg, was presented by Mariana Echeverria, a PhD student of the Post-graduate Program in Epidemiology. Betina Flesch, Fernando Guimarães, Inaê Valério, Leonardo Zanini and Sarah Karam complete the list of authors.
